Bac Ninh lychees from Vietnam conquer major markets.
This year, Bei Ning lychees have been extremely popular in the domestic market, with sales reaching 129,424 tons, accounting for 63% of the province's total lychee production. The total export volume of lychees was 75,976 tons, accounting for 37% of the total production. Among these, China continues to be the largest importer of Bei Ning lychees, with an import volume of 75,056 tons, while the remaining portion was exported to high-end markets such as Japan (198 tons), the United States (116 tons), Australia (246 tons), the European Union (167 tons), and Canada (143 tons).
According to the evaluation, the production of Bei Ning lychees this year has reached a historical high. The lychee fruits are plump, uniform in size, and delicious in taste, ensuring food safety and effectively meeting export requirements. To achieve this result, Bei Ning Province has cooperated with relevant authorities to implement a production, processing, and sales docking model, focusing on improving the quality of lychees and expanding the planting area using Vietnam Good Agricultural Practices (VietGAP) and Global Good Agricultural Practices (GlobalGAP) standards.
At the same time, cultivation technology consultation is provided to growers, creating favorable conditions for growers to sign contracts with enterprises and merchants, ensuring that lychee production meets domestic sales and export demands to markets such as China, the United States, Japan, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Meanwhile, the innovation of marketing methods is being promoted, pushing the promotion and consumption of lychees on digital platforms, and carrying out trade promotion activities at home and abroad, strengthening ties with border local governments, and creating favorable conditions for lychee export activities.
